A Story
A Bad Day I Guess…?
I woke up from bed and saw a large hole in my mosquito net. I looked at my hand, and there were many mosquito bites visible. And that's how the strange day started.
I went to brush my teeth and saw there was no toothpaste left in the tube. I had no other option, so I washed my mouth with my mouthwash.
I took a shower and then ate the breakfast that mom made for me. Then I got ready for school in my school uniform.
I took my bicycle and hopped on it. I started to paddle it to go to school.
It was in the middle of the road when the bicycle stopped. I couldn't paddle it anymore. So I stepped down to examine it. I soon found out that it didn't function anymore. "What a bad day!" I exclaimed, irritated.
When I reached school, I saw there were very few students.
I found out that the routine for the upcoming examination was given yesterday, so the students didn't come to school as they needed to prepare for the examination at home.
I was absent yesterday because of stomach troubles. Thus I didn't know about the routine. "Seriously, the day couldn't get any worse!" I thought.
I just sat in my seat and did nothing during school hours. There were no classes held because of the presence of only a few students, and it was boring.
I slept some time at school because I was bored out of my mind. I missed my friends and wanted school to be over soon!
After long hours, like decades, I walked home because my bicycle wasn't working anymore. Seriously, it felt like the worst day of my life ever!
Coming back home, I ate some snacks and changed into comfortable clothes.
After some time, my dad returned from work and listened to me about how my day went.
He played with toys with me and then we played some other games. I always liked playing with him.
My day was getting a little bit better.
After some time, we watched some cartoons on TV and then had dinner.
After dinner, I brushed my teeth. There was a new tube of toothpaste.
I found a new mosquito net, and then I got into bed, ready to fall asleep.
Finally, I called it a night.
There were still good things that happened on my bad day for which I was happy. Then I closed my eyes and slept peacefully.
I dreamt of dragons and unicorns in my sleep.
So it seems it wasn't my worst day after all.
